01. Book your shoot.

It’s time to figure out how you want your photos to look. The shoot location has a big impact on the look and feel of your images. I have great locations I can recommend, but I am also happy to shoot anywhere, if you have a specific location in mind. Typical locations include…

Traditional. Think green grass, fences, maybe a historic home.
Urban. City skylines/backgrounds, back stairwells, and brick buildings, graffiti.
Rustic. Picture old barns, wide open fields. 
Nature. Imagine greenhouses, nurseries, botanical gardens.
Homey. In your own back yard, if there are interesting structure/settings.

02. Choose a location.

Clearly, your wardrobe is the key. You will want to pick outfits that are most comfortable for you (or your child). That is the highest priority. If you feel great, that will show in your images! I would pick colors that look best on you, maybe a pretty blue if you have bright blue eyes! Or a color that really complements your skin tone. For a full session, you have the option to bring multiple outfit changes, so you can pick a variety of different looks.
